Register early. Here’s why:

Roster spots are limited and our coaching staff begins evaluating and extending offers after each tryout session. That means waiting for a later session could reduce your chances, even if you're a strong player, simply because your position may already be filled.

We also understand that athletes may be balancing competing priorities. If you have a scheduling conflict but still want to be evaluated, contact us at info@rtbsports.com and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Tryout registration opens 9/1

The tryout experience

What to expect

RTB tryouts are designed to showcase who you are as a complete athlete. Over the course of a two‑hour session, players will warm up, compete in high‑tempo drills, and step into real game‑play situations that highlight their skills and style of play. Our coaches evaluate the whole athlete, not just talent, but attitude, effort, communication, teamwork, and the intangibles that define great teammates and future leaders.

At the conclusion of tryouts, some athletes may receive an offer immediately. Others may hear from us within 1–2 days, and select players may be invited to a call‑back session for additional evaluation. Our goal is to ensure every roster is built with intention, balance, and the competitive edge RTB is known for.

We’re committed to giving every athlete a fair and meaningful opportunity to shine. However, demand for roster spots is high, and not all players who try out will be selected. Once all offers have been extended and teams are finalized, athletes who are not placed will receive an email confirming their tryout status.

Note: Age group eligibility is based on USAV guidelines — a player's birthdate as of July 1st of the current year. Players may play up in an older age group but may not play down. Players with eligibility questions should contact us at info@rtbsports.com.

USA Volleyball (“USAV“) age groups for youth volleyball are determined by a player's birthdate on July 1st of the current year. Skilled players may “play up” in an older age group; however, they are not allowed to ”play down” in an age level lower than their USAV age.  As a general rule, players are generally encouraged to play in their peer group (grade level).
